If you're looking for a new RSS reader, I highly recommend The Old Reader. It allows me to quickly scroll through the content and I love that! It's not remotely fancy and it doesn't even have all the bells and whistles that Google Reader has (which are few and far between), but the interface is almost exactly like Google Reader.
